Broken Glasses, Passing Glances...

WIP!!! :)

Welcome to my shrine all about charford--my selfship with Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls!!

The Lore!

In the "canon" timeline, Charlie works at a theatre he owns in Gravity Falls. He moved to Gravity Falls quickly after college, wanting to escape his hometown; when he finds a spot on the exact opposite side of the country, in a town that's not even on the map, he jumps right on it. He quickly settles into life in Gravity Falls, as weird as it is, and fixes up an old theatre in town. He owns the place and also teaches classes there, as well as serves as the booking agent (he often books Robbie's shitty bands there).

Charlie meets Mabel through the classes he teaches, and Mabel decides to dedicate herself to matchmaking Charlie with every eligible bachelor in town... to no avail. Mabel just can't find The One!

... until one Stanford Pines just so happens to pop out of a portal in the basement-- and he's totally Charlie's type!

Mabel introduces Charlie and Ford to eachother, and initially thinks all hope is lost; Charlie thinks Ford is super pretentious and a bit offputting, and Ford thinks Charlie is way too loud and obnoxious. It doesn't take long for them to grow on eachother, though, as they have more similarities than they initially realized!

Charlie fell first, thinking Ford is totally dreamy and smart and handsome, but Ford fell harder for sure. Problem is, Ford is a bit preoccupied with preventing the apocalypse so... relationships are the last thing on his mind (or at least he likes to think so). Ford wonders if he should confess to Charlie, wiff-waffling about if Charlie would ever like him back or if he could ever trust enough to be in a relationship again... he writes letter after letter, plans confession after confession, but tosses it all to the side in his own fear of rejection.

When the apocalypse inevitably rolls around, Ford can't help but wonder if Charlie is safe; the world almost ending and the possibility of Charlie being hurt (or worse), finally makes Ford come to his senses and, once things calm down and the town settles again, confess his feelings to Charlie. Charlie, of course, reciprocates without a second thought!

... and the pair live happily ever after, getting married a few years later and settling down together once Ford returns from his sailing expeditions. Yay!
